  The food is consistently good, the staff are friendly and the prices are reasonable. The platters come with a mound of fries so be prepared to eat a lot of food!
  
  Be prepared as this is a CASH ONLY establishment, debit or credit cards aren't accepted but there's an ATM on site if you need it.

  Their food is decent, typical Tavern type stuff. Their prices are reasonable but their arrangement for payment is weird. Drinks as part of a meal (like a Pepsi) are paid separately and they don't accept debit (there is a machine if you want to pay the service fee) which is strange for a business that's been around as long as they have..

  Had the haddock dinner, the batter was light which was good, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables for a little under 10. A lot of fried foods offered. The atmosphere is tired but met the need for a place to stop between Sydney and canso causeway.
  The star rating above is not quite accurate as I cannot give it a two star as I did not dislike it, the food was average the price was good the atmosphere was more of a bar with VLT's in the back room.

  Visited this place many times over the years for a quick bite and hint up a jump session or two. Food is great and with a good menu of pub food..ask for the supreme fries and you cant go wrong. Only down side is you best have cash on hand since they don't take debit but there is two banks close by and a atm inside.
